Some designs for characters based on the CMYK color profile. Ideally, they would be vinyl figurines.

Summer Side Project

Ever since my summer break started I began working on a side project that I had planned since last year. Thankfully I have time this summer to get a good chunk of it done if not complete it.

Anyway it's a one-shot comic/graphic novel about a soccer team. I'm doing it in Sharpie Pen and throwing it together in InDesign. I'm shooting for 150 pages at its completion.

New Pen Drawings

Here are the two main characters of the series featured in my animation. The drawings were done yesterday with a ball point pen.

I would say that ballpoints are my preferred medium. They're cheap and they can make fairly fine lines. I like the pen I used because it was a little runny so that it sometimes left ink blots. Sometimes, the little imperfections can add an effect that greatly benefits the mood of a piece.
